This tutorial will teach you how to remove text from a path. A path can be created using a Bezier or B-spline curve, a simple object, or text that has been converted to a path. We will use Microsoft Expression Graphic Designer’s Release Text function to remove text from a path.

In our previous tutorial, we added text to a path. But what if we need to remove it from the path?

Step 1
You can detach or release text from a path by selecting the path, and choosing Objects > Text on Path > Release from the main menu.

The text and path are separated and left intact, and can be edited or modified as necessary.
